The Geometry of Joy series
In this picture, I wanted to push the living, free plastic of plants with a strict structure of geometric patterns. A bouquet with bright buds and a lonely ripe apple here balance each other.
I built the canvas on the contrast of patterns: the vertical lines of the white vase meet the horizontal rhythm of the black and white cage of the table. A deep, even gray background helps to cut off all unnecessary and gather the elements together. I deliberately simplified the silhouettes to remove everyday accidents and create a decorative still life filled with inner silence, color and air.
