The "Sunny Accent"

Acrylic, canvas on cardboard / 2026
Series "Portraits in feathers"

The impetus for the creation of the picture was my admiration for the pure natural energy and incredible juiciness of the colors that exist in the world. The main character of this story was the toucan with its fantastic, massive and attractive silhouette.
I twisted all the work around a huge beak, building it on soft transitions from lemon-yellow to orange and fiery-red. Close-up and a deaf black background isolate the bird from the outer space, turning it into a monumental symbol. I deliberately simplified the texture of the feathers, betting on the dense color and contrast of light, so that the canvas carried a feeling of life force beating over the edge.
