True peace is based on confidence. And serenity.
\nWe \u2014 humanity \u2014 have already been here. We're here now. And maybe we'll be here in some form and after. How long before? How long after? Scientists are still arguing.<\/p>\n
But I'm not sure about humanity. I'm sure of the forest. He was here long before us. So long that deep inside it, hidden trails and lakes lead into \"nowhere\" \u2014 spaces so ancient that no human word has been invented for them. Touch the lily leaf on the black surface of Lake \u2014 and underneath it \"nothing\". It is \"Nigredo\". The blinking eye of a crow from interstellar space, blinking in response to surprise. The multipetalled infinity moves the tail of \u2014 only vaguely resembling a delicate lily flower.<\/p>\n
The forest is calm. He is serene. He has no one to argue with, nowhere to hurry. He was. - Mm-hmm. There is one. And he knows \u2014, if there's even one seed left alive, he'll happily be here long after.<\/p>\n
