About the artist

Sveta Bataenkova — is a modern artist with a rich multicultural background, formed by years of life in Europe and Russia. This unique experience combined in her work various aesthetic traditions and set the scale of her artistic vision.

Her creative path — is a continuous search for creative beauty with healing power. The origins of this path lie in early childhood: the impressions of the aroma of honey watercolors awakened a passion for color, and the desire to order chaos through the creation of new forms from disparate elements formed the basis of her method. Today, this passion for clarity and inner logic is pronounced in monumental painting.

Sveta's professional career spans more than 30 years. After receiving a degree in fine arts from the Omsk Institute of Technology, she began as a costume designer, collaborating with theaters, fashion brands and art groups. Her experience with textiles and design has honed her scrupulous sense of texture, attention to detail and ability to clothe an abstract idea in the material form of — quality, which today define her large-scale canvases.

Bataenkova's large-scale peonies and botanical compositions go far beyond simple aesthetics. The artist is fascinated by the process of "modelling" the structure of each petal through a complex mosaic of light, shadow and halftones. Each stroke becomes a search for the ideal shape, which in the final folds into a majestic flower with complex architecture. Figurative realism and multi-layered grading technique serve as the natural language of this artistic statement.

The canvases of Sveta Bataenkova — are a concentrate of pure energy, light and creative power. They sound like a manifestation of manifestation, success and vitality, inviting the viewer to share the delight in the complexity and perfection of the visible world.
