The Pleasing (film)

Canvas, acrylic, potal, 60 x 60 cm, 2025
Picture from the series "History of a Day".
Noon — is a time of maximum energy, bright sun and strong feelings. In this work, the focus shifts to a pulsating, deep coral hue. The picture tells about the moment when we look at a loved one and catch a flash of pure admiration.
On the canvas there is a monumental peony, which occupies most of the composition and attracts the eye. Its lush petals open in a gradation of shades from tender pink to rich coral and scarlet, creating a sense of depth and volume. In the center of the flower you can see detailed stamens that add texture contrast. The background of the lush green leaves emphasizes the brightness and freshness of the bud, giving the work dynamism and liveliness. Each fold of the petal is carefully worked out, conveying the tenderness and fragility of the flower.
