The beginning of a new path. A man enters an arch of fused trees, naked, devoid of leaves. But in the dried, at first glance, trunks, life warms, their branches stretch upwards, symbolize the spiritual growth of the hero, his thirst for light.
Passing through the portal, a person crosses the conditional border between the worlds, leaving behind a gray murmur of failures, disappointments, mental anguish. In order to escape from the darkness, he follows the sun, dim, obscure, barely discernible.
But with each step it will shine brighter, opening the hero renewed, full of hope, the world. Oval arch — is a symbol of infinity, impeccability of forms. Entering it, a person undergoes a conditional rite of purification from the burden of the past.
The artist deliberately prescribed the figure of the wanderer as dark, emphasizing his desire to gain unattainable light, get rid of the darkness of despair and ignorance.
It all starts where the night ends, over the horizon, — is the idea of the picture. Darkness is always followed by dawn. You just have to believe and move forward.
