Nascence (TV series) #1-#and 2 (diptych)

The Myth:

There is a moment before the first snowdrop breaks through the crust of the earth — when the soil is still cold, still dark, but something inside has already begun to awaken. Our ancestors knew this threshold well: the moment when winter has not yet let go, but spring is already breathing underground. Winter-summer, intertemporal.

Nascence #1 & #2 — about this moment. Not about birth as an event, but about the fragile, unfinished state that precedes — when matter was still holding its breath, when form had not yet decided what it would become. Two panels, two halves of one breath: dark earth and pale sprouts, silence and the first signs of life.

In the context of my practice, Nascence belongs to a line of works that treat the canvas not as a painting, but as a living surface of — that captures time, touch and transformation. For the collector, this diptych offers not a frozen image, but an object that works: it changes with light, slowly gives up its smell and opens new layers, the longer you live with it.
