In this work, I wanted to convey the feeling of the elusive image of — as if you had accidentally seen a deer flashing through the forest, and it had already disappeared, but the impression of the meeting remained.
The picture is written in acrylic on a wet canvas. This technique allows you to observe how the silhouette is manifested, then disappears in blurring. The paint does not hold its shape, it flows, mixes, creates unpredictable transitions. And gradually, layer by layer, a clearer silhouette is formed from this fluidity.
There is something elusive about this process. The deer is woven from space itself, from fog and air. It reminds me of the work of an animal photographer who waits a long time to capture an animal that can slip through the trees at any moment.
A double thread with an untreated edge, on which the work is done, enhances the feeling of liveliness. It seems as if the deer is collected from nature itself, from the world itself, and not just depicted on canvas.
For me, this picture of – is also an opportunity to catch, preserve something beautiful and elusive. It's like capturing a small treasure of –, a fleeting vision that could have disappeared, but remained in memory.
Important: at work, a translucent effect is conceived. This is a feature of the lack of soil. It can be used for artistic purposes.
