The Joy of Being Here
The painting was exhibited at the group exhibition "Opening of the Institute of Living Art (ILI)", St. Petersburg, 2026.
This work was born out of the desire to catch and keep the fleeting feeling of summer noon peace. The braided basket of ripe cherry, the lemons and the dark glass of the bottle among the flowering branches on the canvas are no longer just — things, they turn into a visual cast of warm memories filled with sun and clean air.
The main character of the picture was a dense, glowing yellow background, which creates a feeling of physical warmth. I consciously moved away from exact copying of objects and small details, building the composition on the rhythm of bright color spots and free textured strokes. This approach removes unnecessary noise and leaves the most important — with a pure feeling of relaxation, silence and slow time.
