Elena Jafarova

A modern artist, working mainly in mediums of painting and graphics. In his works, he explores the greatness of nature, light in darkness, the feeling of moments and memory.

The visual language of the artist combines photorealism and picturesqueness. The main idea and message is to pause. Stop to get out of the endless race, the value of moments and what surrounds you.

Through the analysis of the environment, the artist explores the processes of human influence on the environment, trying to capture the moments of the environment. This raises the question that nothing lasts forever or ever. Man's pernicious influence on the world can wipe most beautiful places off the face of the earth forever.

Along with realistic landscapes in the artist's work there are works filled with mythological images and symbolic meanings. Some of the works are born from the world of dreams, where reality is intertwined with fantasy, creating its own mythology and space that exists on the border of sleep and manifestation.

In rare works, the artist turns to abstraction. Even abandoning the direct image, it retains a connection with nature: in color, rhythm, texture and plastic forms, natural motifs, the state of the landscape, the movement of light, air and water continue to be guessed.
